So what is one to do if they don’t win or qualify for the HPS Lottery and desire housing that’s affordable? How about trying the neighborhood right next door to LIC? In Sunnyside one will find apartments such as this:
Newly renovated 3-Bedroom, 1.5 Bath, with maintenance under $1,000 a month and less than a block from the subway for …$415,000!
Updated Studio with a phenomenal view of Manhattan in an elevator building with a gym, onsite laundry and parking, and maintenance below $400 a month for …$160,000!
I checked in with the broker of the first apartment, and she believes that it is 1,100 square feet. I’m guessing the latter is probably at least 400 sq. feet, so both of these apartments are selling for under $500 a square foot and also have low maintenances. Who needs a lottery?
