There’s a new dining option for the residents of Hunters Point. A large food cart serving Indian food has appeared on the corner of 48th Avenue and Center Boulevard. It is called Mysstik Masaala and is owned and operated by a native Mumbai resident named Yuvaraaj.
For a cart, it has a pretty extensive menu, which changes daily as all cooking is freshly prepared. The cart’s hours are Mon/Wed/Fri from 6:30 – 9:30pm, and all day Saturday for lunch and dinner. Having eaten there several times, I can say that the food is very good, and with the park across the street, it’s an excellent choice for some quick and easy dining al fresco. Tonight’s looking to be perfect weather-wise and the cart will be there, so pick up some aloo gobi, vindaloo, and samosas (and maybe a few cold ones), and grab a seat in front of the best view in town. There’s no better reminder as to why your living in LIC.
