Bad News: in 50 years I’ll be 50 years older.
Good News: In 50 years, 80-something will be the new 30-something.
Bad News: I won’t be able to live in Long Island City in 50 years because it will be under water.
That is if a new study is correct about carbon emissions effects on rising sea levels.
The bad news is that if we do nothing, based on current levels, I’ll be out of a home. The good news is that if we can cut them drastically, I’ll have a hundred years. The bad news is that in 50 years there will be over 10 billion people living on the planet, versus 6 billion today. Plus, they’ll all want air-conditioning …and it’ll be a lot hotter -> more emissions -> even more heat -> need for more air-conditioning -> more emissions… Looks like LIC only has 20-30 more years. The good news is that the Mets are 2-1.
