Tonight’s MoMA PS1’s Halloween party is bringing back from the dead the downtown club scene from the 80’s and 90’s. Looking over the “hosted by” list, I vaguely recognize a lot of the names, many of which have a euro-trashy pronunciation and an avant garde connotation indicating that once the umm, …digestifs kick in, there should be a lot of nudity. Entitled “HalloQueens,” the invite requests “all guests come dressed for a royal celebration of all things Queens” such as Royal Queens, Queens of Mean, Rock Queens, Queen of Hearts. etc. That theme, combined with the fact that it’s only fifteen bucks to attend and within stumbling distance of most readers homes, gets my vote for Best Halloween Party option of 2014.
Now onto sex toys. Ahh, I see you’ve clicked through for ‘More,’ I like the way you think!1 Bawdy thoughts aside, this might actually be the most important thing you read all year, maybe all decade, and possibly in your lifetime. Two women have started an LIC-based business created to “bridge the “pleasure gap” — the fact that men are twice as likely as women to have an orgasm during sex.” Well now, that’s all I’m going to reveal here, this is a family publication2. But my guess is the link to this story will see an enormous number of click-throughs. Happy Ending …I mean Halloween!
