Like a deer in winter, the pickings in the news forest are slim pre-Christmas. So I’m forced to tweak a little to spur interest. Yes, there is a Winter Solstice Parade in LIC this Sunday, December 21 at 3pm. As for its being clothing optional, well… I mean, why not? I don’t know, between the cold and dreary 4:30 sunsets and the 7-train shutdowns, we need something to spur some joy. Plus, whenever I hear about ‘solstice’ celebrations, it makes me think of naughty pagan rituals. In tandem with the holidays, here’s how I envision an intimate winter evening at the LIC Bar.
