It’s time to pisco everybody! Jora, the Peruvian Restaurant on 11th Street at the foot of the Pulaski Bridge, has officially opened. They are currently serving dinner every day of the week starting at 5:30pm. But as any self-respecting South American knows, who eats dinner before 9? Thus they will be open until late.

The fat lady is clearing her throat. According to the Times Ledger, the demolition of 5Pointz will begin in August per the owner Jerry Wolkoff. He also stated that he expects the two 40+ story rental towers to be completed in 2016. Someday will we gaze upon the towers and think of them as the majestic gateway to Queens as we did with 5Pointz? Highly unlikely, but what can we do?
In a completely unrelated (and overlooked) development, Mu Ramen expects to open their second location in Boston next year.
