THE first week of work after the Holiday break: cold, dark and bleak – and windy if you live by the waterfront in LIC. But wait, we’ve got 5 days of playoff football to kick it off, or maybe hunker down on our couches. Thur, ahh man Ole Miss, you gave us such thrills. Fri, college football game #2 – Big Ten re-emergence – if you can visualize Oregon in the conference and Indiana still playing football in January! Saturday, Sunday and even Monday – the big boys begin their quest. Thank you NFL for spreading the joy, I’m happy to maximize your viewing dollars for three days instead of two.
