Work has commenced at the Hunters Point library site. The gate was open and several men were erecting a green wooden scaffold about 10-feet from the perimeter. If all goes according to plan it should be completed in two years and be the centerpiece of Center Boulevard.

Today LICtalk turns three years old. Like most 3-year olds, we’re talking up a storm, but it’s not just nonsense.
Nothing highlights this better than an article by Michael Musto in last week’s New York Times entitled “Are Manhattanites Becoming Brooklyn’s Bridge-and-Tunnel Crowd?” Why? Because two years to the day prior, LICtalk published “There Are No More New Yorkers Living in Manhattan” whose concluding sentence was:
“Go figure, the next thing you know Manhattanites will be referred to as Bridge and Tunnel people.”

In the bury the lede column, a new review of Mu Ramen in Eater makes mention that they plan on opening a Manhattan location late this year or early next. The restaurant had no comment on these plans when asked.
Oh well, the rest of the review gives a lot of insight into the how/why of Mu Ramen, and includes such tantalizing food pics that they’re almost NSFW.
