CVS Pharmacy has inked a lease for the 11,218-square-foot retail space in the base of Hunter’s Point South Commons. According to Frank Monterisi at Related Companies, the neighborhood should expect a grand opening in 2017. Originally this was slated to be a Duane Reade, as we first reported two years ago.
With the Crabhouse across the street and Urban Market kitty corner, 2nd Street is en route to becoming a new retail corridor in LIC. Which leaves the question: what restaurant will be going into the high profile ‘restaurant-designated’ space on Center Boulevard in Hunters Point South Commons?
it would been better if they had put small businesses along that street , we already have a Duane Reade a few blocks away. of course its all about the benjamins!
The retail space is the money maker in below market rentals.
