A reader let us know that Natural Frontier Market, located at the triangle where Jackson Avenue meets 11th St. and 48th Ave, is closing due to a rent increase. According to an employee of the store, it will be open until the end of December. Opened ~10 years ago1 the mini-chain has two other locations in Astoria and Brooklyn which will remain open, but no plans to re-open elsewhere in LIC.
//NOT so fast on the Master Plan. In reading the article there’s no way to discern who’s in the right, but working it out is sure to stall any united development of the waterfront acreage.
