Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.
C’mon, you know where this is from
WE can hint it, they can say it, either way it’s out there: LIC is the new Chinatown according to Mahira Rivers at New York Magazine. Though in theory we’ve been saying it for quite awhile.
Anyways, that’s not all the local news. Tina Fey & Seth Meyers got their protest on in front of Silvercup Studios this week by joining a picket line. And MoMA PS1 has a new director, after hiring the previous one only three years ago. Finally, in the ‘Bank crisis, what bank crisis?’ department comes news of a $350 million financing for a 363-unit residential tower on Jackson Avenue in Court Square. Who knows, maybe to spice it up we get Indonesian food at the base? Then I’ll really have something to write about.
