LIC Landing has closed and a restaurant founded by Frank Ottomanelli will take its place later this summer according to an article in the LIC Post. Located on ‘The Oval’ in Hunters Point South Park, the license for LIC Landing was not renewed by the Parks Dept. – probably not a big loss for LIC.
Instead, it was given to Ottomanelli, who operates a burger and belgian fries restaurant in Woodside that previously housed his father’s butcher shop founded in 1960. Ottomanelli will also serve poke bowls and bubble teas, and as part of the contract will refurbish the outdoor space. He expects to re-open it in July…
//THE unofficial start to summer begins this weekend, and with it comes the annual rebranding of the Ravel Hotel rooftop club and subsequent press release about the ‘all-new’ club followed by the articles spawned by the press release. While the name may change, I’m guessing the crowd stays the same with a preference for suntan lotion with SPF2.
