HERE we are, August! My how time flies. The Mets have thrown in the towel and the locals have flown the coop. Except The Editor, who’s going nowhere fast. I’ll be enjoying a staycation, with help from Tinder.
I’m also enjoying watching the docu-drama Domina on TV. It’s about ancient Rome, but doesn’t require fluency in Latin. If it did, then they would call this month Sextillia,. That is until the protagonist, Augustus, renamed it for himself (just like his predecessor Julius did for the month prior). As for Long Island City, you’ll have to make your own news, but you can still enjoy our award-winning photography. Or not enjoy this:
