WHILE I never considered myself a member of the 1% as it is traditionally defined, I do belong to a very select club here in Long Island City: those who drive to Trader Joe’s to pick up their weekly provisions.
Thus it was with great dismay that I read about the sale of the TD Bank location around the corner from said grocer: aka the Trader Joe’s parking lot. Yes, the musician lot formally known as 21-31 46th Avenue has been sold to what looks to be a developer according to Crain’s New York. So moving forward I can forgo my Belgian Chocolate Covered Honeycomb Candy and Freeze-Dried Lingonberries, or take an Uber, what other choices are there?
//GRIDLOCK ALERT – next week is UN Week, and as I warned last week, do not even think of dipping your 4-wheel CE or EV onto the Isle of Manhattan. 2 wheels good, 2 legs better, big silver limo with lilac ‘7’ on it best.

September 21, 2024 at 11:00 amYou can walk, take the B62, or take the 7 train! So many public transportation options near Trader Joes. That’s what’s so great about this city.
