YOU know things are slow when the top news story is about a patch of poison ivy growing on a fence along some obscure stretch in Long Island City. Even worse, there’s video that was broadcast on a TV station regarding this, ahem …appalling hazard (I did not watch it). According to a small sign on the door of 10-07 50th Avenue, a restaurant specializing in Szechuan cuisine is being built out. No other info is available, but given that it’s formerly the home of Kavala Estiatorio which was run by the Shi/Skinny’s empire, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a hand in it…
