PIZZA, pizza, the culinary savior of parents everywhere. Now Long Island City has an additional variation, as Traze Pizza has opened at 21-03 45th Road, aka the southeast corner of Murray Park.
Traze describes itself as a “small batch pizza lab with a focus on square grandma style trays. Based in Queens, Traze was born in 2015 with our signature falafel pizza. Our 72-hour fermented dough, sauces, and toppings are all made in house.”
Traze has operated as a pop-up at Fifth Hammer Brewery, and we previously gave them a favorable mention. Now you can check out their signature pies any time, any day, just at a new, and permanent, location.
//MORE rumblings about possible movement on rezoning the ‘Warehouse District’ and building 14,000 apartments there. Not sure why it bubbled up last week in the press (something about a Mayor Adams priority), but I’m sticking to my thesis that the biggest variable on building in this location is decision-making by private owners. Given the increased murkiness in the economic outlook this month, I’m not really sure developers will be quick to give the thumbs up to new building, rezoning or not…
//WE stand in unison with the residents of the Queensview Cooperative Apartment Complex looking to ease the costly regulation of Local Law 97, created to reduce emissions from apartment buildings. Check out the editorial on Queensview below, but we’ll share a quick update on Local Law 11. Yes, the facade inspection interval increase was signed into law by Mayor Adams this week, stretching inspections from 5 years to a range of 6-12 years, and the DOB will pinpoint that range this summer. Big difference guys, go with the over please!
//Finally, another Spring has come, and another one will pass without the delight of mangoes from Haiti. Our denial is minuscule compared to our providers discomfort. Or to be blunt, their acute food insecurity. Keep that in mind whenever you pass by the fruit stand on 49th Avenue. Or any fruit stand in NYC in April and May.
