IN what has to be the best story of the slow summer, a man fishing from the shore of the East River right near Costco on Vernon Boulevard hooked a giant sea turtle. I mean really big! Then, following a volley of incredulous f-bombs, he and his buds clip the hook and heart-warmingly release the turtle back into the river. I kid you not, it was all caught on video – just like everything these days.
//IN less consequential news, the new ferry servicing Hunters Point North begins next week and the schedule has been released.
//OH, and a new language immersion school called LinguaLab will be opening in LIC this Fall at 11-11 44th Rd. No, not the kind you can send your kid to five days a week from 9-3 and have it paid for by NYC. Instead it looks to have been formed by two local moms for after-school and toddlers.
