So this is Christmas
And what have you done?
Another year over
And a new one just begun

WELL LIC, we’ve come to the end. And it’s not really all that different than the way we began. In Long Island City anyway.

There’s building, lots of building. 500 rentals in a chunky Hunters Point building, 360 in a lean 50-story structure in Court Square, 30-40 above a Brazilian Missionary Church in Dutch Kills. Plus 560 condos averaging 1,400+ sq ft in a 46-story monolith on Northern Boulevard!

And openings of centers of imbibement: as of today you can step up to the bar at Finback Brewery.

But if you want enlivenment, that’s another matter. For another day. Because I’m leaving. On a jet plane. And I don’t know when I’ll be back again. And on that plane will be all my best-est friends. Taylor of course, and her new beau Gronk Travis. Gisele, without her old beau. P-Daddy and his mini-me p-diddy. Lebron, first name James. Beyonce, last name …Beyonce, w/ some guy named Jay tagging along. Jimmy Page will be there, singing his one hit wonder Stairway to Heaven. Followed by a private debate among the remaining non-Trump Republican candidates. Followed by a food fight among same. To add political balance the Obama’s will be on board, Malia & Sasha. Oh, and pets are allowed too. Passengers will have dinner selections catered by Daniel Boulud, Jean Georges, and famed Japanese chef Benihana. Finally to keep it local, the extended Elghanayan family will be there as we rocket towards the North Pole, on our way to Tahiti, where the fun will continue for all 8 days of Christmas.
