“IS there a Santa Claus?” is a question frequently posed to The Editor, to which I emphatically respond “Yes!” How does The Editor know this? Very simple, when there are Chiefs and Steelers and Ravens and Texans scheduled to appear on my TV on Christmas Day, I know that a higher power has guided the outcome of these teams records so as to make both games still relevant this late in the season. Given the date, December 25, that power is Santa Claus. Simple logic.
As for The Editor, unlike previous winter breaks I am going nowhere for the Holidays. That’s right, when I clock out at 5:01pm this Friday, I am making a beeline for my couch. Just me and my loved ones for the next two weeks: the remote and my FanDuel app. Because Santa doesn’t deliver solely on Christmas these days, we’ve reached the time of the year when there are NFL games on Saturday’s too (winter solstice rocks!). ‘Tis the season.
No news is good news, Happy Holidays!
