According to a reader the Burger Garage in Court Square looks to have closed permanently. Apparently it shuttered a few weeks ago and they saw restaurant equipment being taken out and loaded on a truck earlier this week. Calls to the restaurant go to an answering machine, the website is no more, and all the delivery services show it as being no longer available. A quick google turns up a story (below) where the owner mentions his lease running out this year and it’s not being renewable. A shame.
Yet new signs of life continue to sprout this Spring. Tuk Tuk on Vernon Boulevard has re-opened for takeout and delivery after a month+ hiatus, and Playday has created a Social-Distancing Plan and rejiggered its configuration to do so in anticipation of being able to host kids this summer.
Best of all readers, April is finally over!

May 3, 2020 at 7:41 amSuch a shame! The Burger Garage was a pioneer restaurant in LIC since 2010!! Shame on the developers for not making sure they found a new home in the area. Unfortunately, the developers prefer giving retail opportunities to newbies. I’m sure a Shake Shack will open soon. Booooo!
