A lot of pent-up demand exhibited itself in LIC this past weekend, as the beautiful weather brought crowds to the waterfront – almost all properly social distanced, and to the roadie windows of the local bars on Vernon – a little less so, but alcohol is a disinfectant.

According to a reader the Burger Garage in Court Square looks to have closed permanently. Apparently it shuttered a few weeks ago and they saw restaurant equipment being taken out and loaded on a truck earlier this week. Calls to the restaurant go to an answering machine, the website is no more, and all the delivery services show it as being no longer available. A quick google turns up a story (below) where the owner mentions his lease running out this year and it’s not being renewable. A shame.
