ANOTHER death has occurred involving a bicycle rider in NYC. Though all of them are tragic and this one happened in Brooklyn, it’s especially sad to read that the victim resided in Long Island City.
Her name was Clara Kang and she was a 31-year old nurse on her way home from a night shift at a hospital when she was struck by a motorcyclist early Saturday morning in Sunset Park. For more info about Clara see the Go Fund Me page set up by a close friend which includes a a heartfelt bio about her.
//OTHER than the story above not a lot of local news this week, but I highly recommend Kevin Walsh’s essay/overview of Glendale in Central Queens. We shared our own thoughts years ago about this pocket of Queens, but given the beautiful days outside this might be inspiration enough to do some local exploring right here in Queens.
