
And I’m outta here, but here’s a couple of notes that might be of interest if you’re sticking around for the weekend, and I’ll even throw in a rumor. First of all, there is a free soccer program for kids ages 4 and up. Kick it LIC runs every Sunday, including this one, starting at 10am on the Oval at Hunters Point South.
Next, it has come to my attention that the LIC Flea in Hunters Point is not currently being held on Sundays. Instead, if you need your Flea that day, you must got to the one at the Kaufman Studios.
Finally, a little birdie told me that the Citylights board, as well as QueensWest signed off on a final design for the new PS78 playground, which will be built on the southwest corner of the plaza outside the pre-k classrooms. They asked for signatures on DOB filing documents so maybe they plan to build it this summer…
