Utopia Bagels Coming to Court Square in Long Island City

UTOPIA Bagels is coming to 26-11 Jackson Avenue in Court Square according to the Commercial Observer. Not just any bagels, though Court Square could use a bagel place, but Utopia Bagels!

Though I have never had a Utopia Bagel, supposedly they are somewhat legendary among bagel aficionados. The original was founded in Whitestone 40 years ago, and recently began expanding. No word on the timing, but bagels are coming to Court Square.

//Movies on the waterfront – No, not ‘On The Waterfront,’ we’re talking about movies being screened on the Oval in Hunters Point South Park. The line-up for this too has been announced, starting time is sundown (variable):

August 2: Groundhog Day (1993)
August 9: Clueless (1995)
September 13: Disney’s Aladdin (1992)
October 26: The Addams Family (1991)

In addition to putting on the movies above, which are all free to attend, this organization also is offering five free weekly fitness classes for the month of June.
