FIVE million dollars, that’s all it takes to be The King of LIC. In Manhattan $5mil is chump change, but here it takes you straight to the top. The apartment in question, surprisingly enough, is not located in The View along the waterfront. Nor even in the flashy new Skyline Tower. Nope, this one is a combined unit in the Arris Lofts, heretofore known for its expansive yet reasonably priced units in an out-there location on Thomson Avenue. These days it’s not so out-there, and thus no longer so reasonable. But the apartment is a beaut, so it’ll be interesting to see if anyone bites near the asking to own what would be the most expensive condo ever sold in LIC…
//72 hours from now we will know which two teams get to play in this year’s Super Bowl. Last weekend’s games were unbelievable, and I went with the standard quartet of pizza, wings, chili & cheese-steaks – four classic cuisines, four awesome finishes. For the big game I always pick up The Bomb from Sal, Kris, & Charlies around noon and work my way towards completion ~8 hours later, just in time for the half-time show. This Sunday though is a bit of a quandary, maybe something a bit lighter and untraditional? Fortunately Mog-Mog opened this week, so I’m going to pick up some uni & maguro, wash it down with sake and ice cold sapporo, and root for the Bengal Niners.
