SUMMER kicks off in Long Island City with a lot of live music outdoors this weekend. The ‘Queens New Music Festival’ runs today thru Sunday on the Plaxall parking lot. Tomorrow we get Queens Rising at The Gantries with a number of free shows beginning at 3pm.
Going forward ‘Live at The Gantries’ has announced their line-up for the summer. Check out the link below and click here for our previous rundown on this program.
Finally, while there won’t be an official MoMA PS1 Warm-Up Series on Saturdays this summer, they will be holding a modified version on three Friday evenings: August 12, 19, 26 from 5-9pm. Stay tuned for details and line-up.
//THE $5 million apartment we mentioned in January has been sold and received pretty close to its asking price. Thus setting a record for the priciest condo sale ever in Long Island City. I would not extrapolate too much from this sale as $5 million condo’s frequently don’t require a mortgage – which have gotten pretty pricey pretty quickly these days.
