The gentleman says
‘Live music is better’ bumper stickers
Should be issued
All in favor of what he said
Signify by sayin’ “ay” Ay!
IN yet another sign that things are getting back to normal, ‘Live At The Gantries’ musical performances have returned to LIC this summer. Every Tuesday at 7pm thru August 24 a different band and a different genre will take the stage under the Gantries by 49th Avenue and Center Boulevard. By my estimation two-thirds of the bands are really good, one-third so-so and one-third awesome. Like I said, that’s an estimate, no guarantees, but the price is right and the setting perfect.
//There are more free programs coming back to LIC. CinemaLIC will return to The Oval starting with a showing of The Lion King on July 31 at sunset. Plus MoMA PS1’s Warm Up series will occur every Saturday afternoon in August.
//Aja Dumplings has opened at 1050 Jackson Avenue – formerly the home of a Subway Sandwich location. Offerings include dumplings, ramen, fried rice, steamed buns and more. Check out the full menu below.
//One more thing: Adda restaurant will be moving from its current location in LIC some time this year according to The New York Times.
