Thank goodness for retail store turnover, otherwise there would be zero local news of significance1. Anyway, Masso Restaurant which has occupied a prime corner location on Vernon Blvd and 47th Rd. since 2005, seemed to have closed when I passed it recently.
After some considerable sleuthing I discovered that the restaurant is also up for sale. Actually I simply contacted Troy Allen at Modern Spaces, who handles a lot of the retail leasing in LIC. He shared that he has the listing for Masso, and that for $350,000 you can step right in and take over the premises as is. It has a 14-year lease remaining at $6,500 a month. So if you’ve got the cash, now all you need is the concept.
