EGGS 2018

Easter rituals or Eastern rituals, it's all in LIC

Easter rituals or Eastern victuals, it’s all in LIC

AS everyone knows Christmas falls on December 25, St. Patty’s on March 17, and Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November, but Easter is ever so elusive.  Sure I know it’s on a Sunday, but that can land anytime from late March until almost the end of April. This really messes with my vacation schedule – will it be ski-able in Verbier, too cold in Palm Beach, too hot in Anguilla???

Bunnies big and small

From the day we arrive on the planet
And, blinking, step into the sun
There’s more to see than can ever be seen

Capisce?

//I don’t know what’s more highly anticipated, the Annual Trinity Grace Church Queens Easter Egg Hunt in Gantry Park, or the registration for it?  Either way, Continue reading

I am the eggman (Ooh)
They are the eggmen (Ooh)
I am the walrus
Goo goo g’ joob

Sex may sell, but there’s nothing more highly anticipated in Long Island City than the annual Easter Egg Hunt.  The local lust for this event is unrivaled, outside of the comprehensive coverage of it by LICtalk.  It’s stories like this that make the $90K in student debt I still retain to get my Masters in Journalism from Northwestern so worth it.
