“IS there a Santa Claus?” is a question frequently posed to The Editor, to which I emphatically respond “Yes!” How does The Editor know this? Very simple, when there are Chiefs and Steelers and Ravens and Texans scheduled to appear on my TV on Christmas Day, I know that a higher power has guided the outcome of these teams records so as to make both games still relevant this late in the season. Given the date, December 25, that power is Santa Claus. Simple logic.

LAST month while reading a recap of the latest Community Board 2 (CB2) meeting, I came across this in the final paragraph:
“In response to the death of 16-year-old Jael Zhinin and the injuring of her 8-year-old sister, Leslie, when they were struck by a truck on 46th Street and 47th Avenue on June 26,”
Heavy stuff, I know, and it made me seriously pause given the ages and what the parents must have endured and are enduring. The recap continued:
“Won {Julie Won} announced that in the coming weeks a universal “daylighting” bill will be introduced in the City Council. The measure would create more visibility at intersections by removing parking.

SOMETIMES I think I should just write for Eater. The owners of Fer Restaurant in LIC located north of the bridge, will be taking their culinary skills south of the bridge. Way south, having just signed a lease in the new Malt Drive development at the bottom of Hunters Point.
