So it is with Bellwether restaurant on Vernon Boulevard, where the scaffolding has been removed and there is a sign in the window mentioning they will be opening in a few weeks. Further details were revealed in a blurb in Eater today, stating it will be “a seasonal American restaurant from a former Barbuto chef.” Barbuto is an Italianish1 restaurant in the West Village founded by well-known chef Jonathan Waxman, who cooked at Chez Panisse and Michael’s in Santa Monica – think California cuisine. Which I guess isn’t too far off the culinary path of previously reported chefs-in-waiting for this restaurant Preston Madson of Freemans and Ed Cotton of Top Chef. Whomever or whatever, like spring itself Bellwether is eagerly anticipated…

Yeah not really impressed at all about this place. decor is meh
I was happy that this place was going to have a new chef. But why change the decor? It was perfect. Oh well. I guess now I will Try it but looks like urgent medical center.
