‘TIS The Season when things really slow down in the news biz. It’s when us veteran reporters usually hand over the reigns to the rookies and let’em try to squeeze blood from a stone. Which brings us to the announcement that a challenger has decided to run against our local councilwoman in next years primary. Putting it right up there with Covid Pandemic, Ukraine Invasion, and the World Cup when placed in the right journalistic hands. Or maybe we should all just head down to St. Bart’s immediately?

A Spanish tapas and wine bar called Casa Lola is the new restaurant coming to 47-46 Vernon Boulevard, formerly the home of Bella Via. Though the concept is new to Long Island City, in many ways this restaurant will be unique to New York City.
