OVERFLOW Coffee has opened at 46-36 Vernon Boulevard in Hunters Point. Formerly the home of Matted LIC, there’s a long exposed brick wall, simple clean design, and standard coffeehouse offerings and nibbles. According to a post I saw it bills itself as family-owned, and there doesn’t seem to be any other locations in NYC/ROW. ((Rest of World)) We like independents, check it out!

WESTVILLE, a small local chain of fast casual restaurants, is opening a location at 43-12 Hunter Street in the heart of Court Square. If 43-12 Hunter Street doesn’t ring a bell or conjure up an image denoting it to be the heart of Court Square, then how does directly across from Food Cellar on Crescent Street strike you? Down the street from M Wells? Half a block from the tower fka as the Citi Building?
